Genting Highland, Malaysia

Genting Highland is a mountain peak within the Titiwangsa Mountains on the border between the states of Pahang and Selangor of Malaysia and is home to the famous Genting Highlands Resort, otherwise known as Resorts World Genting.

It is situated at 6,000 feet above sea level, Genting has everything to offer including natural cool mountain air and 24 hours of non-stop entertainment catering for the many diverse cultures and visitors from all over the world.

Genting also has the distinction of having Genting Skyway - “the longest cable car in Southeast Asia”. Enjoy the cable car right up to the summit, the lower station is situated near the Awana Golf and Country Resort. The 20 minute ride ascends from 914m to 1768m.

As an entertainment destination, Genting satisfies every need of a pleasure seeker. The supreme attraction of Genting is its famous casinos, the only legal casinos in Malaysia. The casinos feature all the popular gambling games and in addition, some of the Chinese games. The casinos attract a large crowd to the highlands.

Theme parks are another popular attraction of the entertainment village, which include an outdoor theme park and an indoor one. The theme parks provide unique experience of Snow House and Haunted Adventures, and feature separate rides in different categories such as thriller family and children. Other attractions are Genting Sky Venture, the only free-fall skydiving simulator in Asia, and Genting X-pedition Wall, an international-standard rock-climbing wall stretching to 15 metres in height, with a 6-metre overhang. There is also bowling, a video arcade, a cineplex and many more fun rides.

By Road: About 45 minutes' drive from Kuala Lumpur via the Karak Highway.

By Bus and Skyway : Express Bus from Pudu Raya bus station. From Putra LRT (Terminal Putra Gombak) to Genting.

8.00am to 7.00pm - from Terminal Putra Gombak to Genting Skyway
9.15am to 8.15pm - from Genting Skyway to Terminal Putra Gombak

By Taxi : From KL International Airport, from hotels and from Pudu Raya taxi station.

Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore is a new theme park located within Resort World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. The Universal Studios Singapore is the second Universal Studios to open in Asia andthe first in Southeast Asia.

The park is 20 hectares in size and make up of seven themed zones: Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away, and Madagascar.

Never been any Universal Studios in my life before, since it located at Singapore where is so near to us. Really hope to go there soon. However, the ticket is 66 dollar for adult in weekdays, which is a bit expensive for student. Wondering is there got student price?

Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is Disney's fifth resort and its second in Asia, opened September 12,2005. The resort is located at reclaimed land on Penny's Bay in Lantau Island. Hong Kong Disneyland park consists of four themed lands like other Disney's Parks in all over the world: Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland.

The first place you will reach after the entrance is the Main Street, U.S.A., the attraction and entertainment that you can find here are: Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad, Animation Academy, Art of Animation, Main Street Vehicles, City Hall, High School Musical: LIVE!. For sure, you can meet the characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse here.

After that, we reached the Tomorrowland, the attraction at here are: Orbitron, UFO zZone, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Stitch Encounter, Space Mountain and Autopia. At here, you can meet characters such as Buzz Lightyear.

Next, attractions in the Fantasyland are: The Golden Mickeys, "it's a small world", Mad Hatter Tea Cups, Fantasy Gardens, Fantasyland Train Station, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mickey's PhiharMagic, Cinderella Carousel, Sword in the Stone, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Snow White Grotto and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Characters you can meet here are Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Lastly, the attractions in Adventureland are: Festival of the Lion King, Jungle River Cruise, Liki Tikis and Rafts and Tarzan's Treehouse.

Since it is weekdays, the opening hours of Hong Kong Disneyland was just from 10.00am to 7.00pm. However, around 6.50pm the sky already dark and the Sleeping Beauty Castle was lighten. At 7.00pm sharp, firework start and last for at least 10 minutes.

In overall, the Hong Kong Disneyland is a must go place if you are a child. The facilities and environment there are suitable for children. The fireworks in the ending is nice. =)
